The Opportunity Are you a commercial professional ready to drive operational efficiency and procurement excellence across a national network? We’re seeking a Commercial & Business Support Analyst to join our Network Services team in Rocklea, 4106, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision making and delivering best value outcomes. In this role, you’ll partner with our General Manager and State Operations Managers to deliver commercial analysis, budget monitoring, KPI reporting, and tender management that directly impacts our operational success. You’ll work across multiple states, manage our national contracts database, and support procurement activities that keep our network running smoothly. What’s on offer Drive operational efficiency across Australia’s national water network Flexible working and professional development in sustainable infrastructure Competitive salary and novated car lease, fitness & wellbeing benefits What you’ll be responsible for Financial Analysis & Reporting: conduct budget analysis, develop monitoring dashboards, and perform deep dives into loss-making contracts to identify improvement opportunities Commercial Support & Tender Coordination: support end-to-end tender processes—from supplier identification and RFT development through to evaluation, negotiation, and contract award Contracts Administration: establish and maintain our national contracts database, manage tender documentation, and ensure compliance with governance and probity requirements Business Analysis: provide commercial advice to technical teams, support project delivery, and assist with scope development and refinement Stakeholder Collaboration: liaise with Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless process execution and risk management Continuous Improvement: identify commercial risks, drive process improvements, and support Indigenous procurement and small supplier engagement initiatives What you’ll need to be successful Commercial, financial, and/or contract management experience Relevant tertiary qualification Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills Benefits Employee share plan Free confidential counselling (EAP) Bupa health insurance discount Corporate discounts & Fitness Passport Novated lease options Paid volunteer days Veolia is open to considering flexible working arrangements for all roles.
