About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a new graduate or experienced optometrist to join our Mackay OPSM team. The role is located in Mackay, a vibrant regional city with access to national parks, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Whitsunday Islands. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including refraction, visual acuity, and ocular health examinations. Use advanced diagnostic equipment such as an OCT with biometry, Optos Daytona, auto refractor, pachymeter, cataract retro‑illumination, topography, I‑care tonometer, and visual field analyzer. Provide 30‑minute face‑to‑face patient consultations following initial pre‑testing by the retail team. Collaborate with other optometrists and support staff to deliver high‑quality eye care. Participate in OneSight outreach initiatives to increase access to eye care in the community. Qualifications New graduate or experienced optometrist with a special interest in ocular pathology or contact lenses.
