About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high culinary standards, contributing to menu development, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to standard recipes
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
• Oversee preparation of raw ingredients and sauces
• Assist in planning menus and specials
• Develop new dishes and modify existing recipes
• Cater to dietary requirements, including vegetarian and gluten-free options
• Manage daily kitchen operations efficiently
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen hands
• Allocate tasks, monitor workflow, and maintain discipline
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
• Conduct regular equipment and safety checks
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed
• Inspect ingredients for quality
• Minimize food wastage and control portion costs
• Train junior staff in food preparation and kitchen procedures
• Mentor staff to maintain consistency and quality
• Promote teamwork and efficient service during peak periods
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
• Address customer requests and feedback regarding dishes
• Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 1–2 years of full-time experience as a Chef
• Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or relevant qualification
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Passion for Indian cuisine and attention to detail
