Beacon Legal has partnered with a leading Australian financial services and funds management business in the search for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its high-performing legal team. This opportunity would suit a lawyer with a minimum of 4 years’ experience who is looking to step into a broad and commercially significant role with strong strategic exposure. About the Role Lead and manage complex legal matters across funds management, financial services and corporate transactions. Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including investment management, distribution, custody and service provider arrangements. Advise on legal, regulatory and governance issues affecting the business and its investment products. Support stakeholders across senior management, boards and operational teams on strategic initiatives and risk matters. Manage external counsel, regulators and key third-party relationships. Assist with governance, company secretarial and board-related matters. Contribute to legal risk management frameworks, policy development and mentoring within the legal team. What we’re looking for Admitted to practise in Australia. Minimum 4 years’ experience in financial services, funds management or corporate law, gained in private practice or in-house. Strong technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach. Excellent communication, drafting and problem-solving ability.
