Project Engineer - Defence and Industrial Deliverable role managing defence and industrial projects, focus on tendering, customer engagement, and internal execution. Report to Global Commercial Manager. Key Responsibilities Review customer specifications, drawings, and standards and translate them into deliverable project scopes Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for engineering and manufacturing work Support bid preparation, including pricing, scheduling, and technical coordination Manage projects from quotation through to delivery in collaboration with internal teams Liaise directly with customers to clarify requirements, resolve technical queries, and maintain project alignment Coordinate with internal stakeholders across engineering, production, and procurement Monitor project costs, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes Potential to progress into Product Manager: Defence and Industry role Required Qualifications & Experience Experience in quoting, pricing, and tendering engineering or manufacturing work Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards Experience managing projects within a workshop or production environment Proven ability to work with customers and internal stakeholders Good commercial awareness and attention to detail Engineering or technical background (Mechanical or related discipline preferred) Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience in heavy manufacturing, marine or defence industry Mandatory Requirements Australian Citizenship (or Permanent Resident status with ability to obtain AGSVA NV1 clearance) Current NV1 Security Clearance or ability to obtain NV1 clearance immediately VEEM is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in our workforce.
