Location CHAPS South – child and family health nursing service providing health and wellbeing services to families across Tasmania with children aged 0 to 5. Responsibilities Nursing care: assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care for individuals, families and communities. Teamwork: interact effectively with clients’ families and other professionals to facilitate optimum child‑centred health care. Excellence in practice: maintain and continuously improve the quality of client care. Community partnership: work with families in community settings, including home visiting, supporting parents and caregivers in their children’s early years. Qualifications & Competencies Registered Nurse, registered with the Nursing and Midwives Board of Australia. Current Working with Children Registration. Current Driver’s Licence. Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of continuous quality improvement and evidence‑based practice in child and family health setting. Ability to apply adult learning principles and facilitate group and individual care and ongoing professional development. Holds a recognised child and family health nursing qualification or is working towards one (desirable).
