The Client & Role Elderly Care Limited is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join their team, providing high-quality, person-centred care to their aged care residents. You will be responsible for clinical assessments, care planning, medication administration, and supporting a multidisciplinary team. This is for a full-time basis with an annual salary set between $86,000 to $96,000 plus superannuation. This role is based at Point Vernon, QLD. Responsibilities Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in line with professional standards, clinical guidelines, and practice protocols. Working collaboratively with General Practitioners, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to ensure seamless, coordinated care. Administering medications, immunisations, and wound care treatments while carefully monitoring patient responses and documenting outcomes. Participating in chronic disease management programs, including care planning, patient follow‑ups, and coordination of referrals. Supporting preventative care by delivering health education, promoting lifestyle modifications, and participating in community health initiatives. Triaging patients based on clinical urgency and assisting with patient assessments and medical procedures as required. Providing emotional support and clear, empathetic communication to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery plans. Supervising and mentoring Enrolled Nurses, students, and support staff, ensuring quality care and adherence to safety standards. Maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and documentation standards. Contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the clinic, including participation in audits, training, and quality assurance activities. Requirements In order to be shortlisted for this position, the right candidate needs to have: A Bachelor degree in Nursing Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Possession of these other certificates gained in Australia: First Aid Certificate. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Minimum of 2 years professional nursing experience in a health care setting Minimum 2 years' experience in conducting comprehensive geriatric clinical assessments, including falls risk, pressure injury risk, cognitive decline, continence and mobility reviews Minimum 2 years' experience administering and monitoring medications, including Schedule 4 and Schedule 8 medicines, insulin, PRN medication, anticoagulants and high risk medicines At least 2 years' experience managing complex geriatric presentations, including dementia, delirium, frailty, chronic disease, infection, wounds, dysphagia and end of life care Minimum 2 years' experience responding to clinical deterioration, falls, pressure injuries, behavioural escalation, medication incidents and emergency care situations Committed to aged care documentation and Case Management. Reliable and able to maintain a safe and high standard of practice. Good time management and ability to lead a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Undergo and maintain a current National Police Check and have no convictions that exclude you from working in aged care as per the Aged Care Act 1997.
