About The Role As a Sexual Health Nurse you will play a vital role in: Providing expert clinical care and health education to diverse communities attending the sexual health service. Delivering a sexual health service, including testing for STI’s and BBV’s, genital examinations, vaccinations, venepuncture, triage and referral. Supporting public health outcomes through early detection, patient education, and contact tracing of notifiable infections. Driving continuous improvement through research, professional development, and participation in innovative clinical projects. About You You’re an AHPRA-registered nurse with strong clinical skills in sexual health or transferable skills and experience. Demonstrated post-graduate experience and extensive recent experience in the area of sexual health/HIV sector or evidence of advanced clinical practice skills that could transition to sexual health nursing. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and accept responsibility whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Understanding of priority populations attending a sexual health service and demonstrated non-judgemental and empathic approach to delivery of care.
