The Opportunity The Submissions Team Lead is part of the Power Projects Growth team, leading a team of submissions resources and handling full‑time bid writing and submissions management responsibilities. The role requires direct interpersonal leadership, mentoring, and supporting direct reports to develop their capabilities. In partnership with the Head of Submissions, the Team Lead will optimise resource allocation, identify growth opportunities for the team, monitor the business capability pipeline, provide peer review of work for compliance and best‑practice bidding principles, and offer constructive feedback. The Team Lead will primarily work on bids for the Power Projects sector in Australia and NewZealand, collaborating with bid managers and operational staff to write non‑priced schedules for Expressions of Interest, Requests for Tenders and other bid responses. They will lead the bid team through submission requirements, define the overall approach to written content, and draft/edit content while interviewing SMEs and conducting research. For larger submissions, they may coordinate with a submissions coordinator or external writers and direct content delivery. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of submissions resources. Support resource allocation and skill‑growth opportunities for direct reports. Monitor business capability and opportunity pipelines. Peer‑review direct report work to ensure compliance and best‑practice bidding. Write non‑priced schedules for Expressions of Interest, Requests for Tenders and other bid responses in Australia and NewZealand. Guide the bid team through submission requirements and ensure compliant solutions. Define the presentation approach and lead drafting and editing of content. Interview subject‑matter experts and conduct research to capture solutions. Direct submissions coordinators or external writers on content deliverables for larger submissions. Qualifications APMP qualification desirable; formal qualifications not essential. At least six years track record of writing and producing complex, multi‑million‑dollar tenders and proposals, ideally in Utilities, Energy, Industrial or construction sectors. Experience delivering bids across multiple sectors (Industrial, telco, water, power, etc.). Previous experience managing direct reports, leading teams or acting as a mentor.
