Coordinate bookings and safely transport clients across Canberra (LR licence + WWVP required). 6-month contract (extendable) | 0.8 FTE part-time Coordinate bookings + provide safe, inclusive community transport LR licence + WWVP + strong driving history + manual handling confidence A community services provider is seeking a Community Transport Officer (0.8 FTE) to support seniors, people living with disability, young people, and community members who may be socially isolated due to limited transport options. The role provides safe, reliable and inclusive transport to events, outings, appointments and regular programs, and is responsible for end-to-end coordination of the transport program (enquiries, bookings, scheduling and customer service). The position requires use of community transport vehicles - I Minibus (15 seats + wheelchair access with ramp) and 2 x 9-seater vans. Contract: Initial 6-month contract FTE: 0.8 FTE (part-time). Availability: Flexibility to work between 8:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday as required. Key responsibilities Coordinate all community transport enquiries, bookings and scheduling Transport passengers using community vehicles and provide support from pick-up through to drop-off Assist passengers with mobility needs; safe manual handling for wheelchairs, walkers and scooters Maintain vehicles (cleanliness/presentation) and refuel as required Treat all participants, families and stakeholders respectfully; support inclusivity across cultures, religions and beliefs Work autonomously and apply problem-solving during service delivery Liaise with program staff to support coordinated service delivery and assist with additional duties as required About you (essential) Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration (additional evidence may be required if lived overseas since age 16) Current unrestricted LR licence (15-seat community bus) + licence history search demonstrating an excellent record in the past 3 years Strong customer service and commitment to supporting vulnerable people Safe work practices and proven manual handling techniques Tech confidence: Outlook + ability to use systems for timesheets, documentation and booking systems Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain Local Canberra knowledge and ability to plan alternate driving routes How to apply Apply with your resume and a short cover note confirming your LR licence, WWVP status and availability (0.8 FTE). #J-18808-Ljbffr
