We are seeking a commercially astute Commercial Manager to play a critical role in strengthening our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality, Governance, and Procurement functions. This is not a traditional sales-led commercial role. This role is new and has been created to improve operational depth to the Senior leadership team. The successful person will sit at the intersection of operations, risk, and commercial decision-making, ensuring that robust systems, controls, and supplier frameworks are in place to support safe, compliant, and commercially sound operations. You will work closely with the CEO, COO, and operational leaders to embed practical, fit-for-purpose governance and procurement practices that enhance performance, manage risk, and deliver sustainable outcomes. Key Responsibilities HSE, Quality & Governance Strengthen and coordinate Quality, Safety, Environmental, Risk, and Compliance frameworks Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and responsible practice Oversee WHS and Quality systems (ISO, HACCP, Organic, Halaal, Kosher) and ensure regulatory alignment Risk & Compliance Maintain and improve the Group Risk Register and risk processes Identify and monitor key operational, commercial, and supplier risks Support audit readiness and manage audit and compliance activities Procurement & Commercial Implement practical, fit-for-purpose procurement processes Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and commercial agreements Drive cost optimisation, supplier performance, and manage procurement risks Environmental Oversee environmental systems, compliance, and risk management Embed environmental considerations into operations and procurement Leadership & Continuous Improvement Lead and develop the Quality Manager and WHS Advisor Improve governance, reporting, and system effectiveness Provide commercial insight to support operational decisions If you are a solutions-focused leader who brings people together, aligning teams across functions to deliver practical, risk-aware outcomes, the role will suit you.
