The Senior Safety and Quality Auditor will lead and execute the delivery of audits, investigations and safety reviews within the Qantas Group (including Jetstar Group) and ensure quality advisory services are delivered. Responsibilities Lead safety and quality audits across Qantas Group operations and management systems to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Provide expert safety advice and actionable insights from audits to address root causes and drive improvements. Lead and deliver professional safety critical audits to assist management in identifying areas at risk, analysing root causes, and implementing appropriate risk controls and improvements. Role context As The Senior Auditor , you will be seen as an expert for airline operational advice and safety support spanning a broad range of stakeholders across multiple departments. The Senior Safety and Quality Auditor is responsible for the delivery of consistent and effective audits of the organisations management systems and its operations, including safety, health, security, quality and environmental performance of the Qantas Group. The audit team has extensive operational and management systems knowledge and is responsible for leading and delivering professional safety critical audits to assist management to identify areas at risk or needing improvement, analyse root causes and organisational factors, and implement appropriate strategies and actions to manage risks. You’ll have 5 years + working in aviation operations such as Flight Operations, Cabin, Engineering, Airports/Ground Operations or Workplace Health and Safety and Environment Tertiary Qualification - Professional aviation management or safety qualifications Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills at a senior level Demonstrated ability to manage small projects Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills Sound computer literacy and skills in office productivity applications Proven ability to perform under difficult and stressful conditions A lateral thinker with problem solving ability Demonstrated ability to work within and/or lead a multi-disciplinary team, including representatives of external agencies as required Ability to exercise leadership and initiative within a project Demonstrated working experience in an operational or safety, security or quality related aviation audit/investigative function Why Qantas?
