A busy Japanese restaurant is looking for an experienced Full Time Chef to join our team.
Position: Full Time Chef
Employment: Full Time (38 hours per week)
Location: Southern River, WA
Salary: $76,515 – $82,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on experience
Job Description:
1. Monitoring the quality of the dishes at all stages of preparation and paying particular
attention to presentation.
2. Setting up food preparation and cooking utensils prior to cooking.
3. Studying each recipe and gathering all necessary ingredients.
4. Preparation of dishes according to the menu.
5. Cooking variety of dishes on the menu.
6. Minimizing waste.
7. Ensuring the storage of food is done correctly and that storage does not exceed
permissible standards.
8. Ensure compliance and enforcing hygiene with all health and safety regulation within
the kitchen area.
9. Serve consistent presentation of dishes.
10. Liaise with head chef, kitchen staff and waiting staff in regards of discussing food
reparation issues to deliver excellent customer service and satisfaction.
Requirements:
1. Relevant commercial cookery qualification.
2. At least 1 year of experience.
3. Experience in Japanese cuisine preferred.
4. Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
6. Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
7. Australian work rights or eligibility to work in Australia.
