We are looking for an experienced Modelling and Insights Lead to join our market‑leading Australian Energy practice in Sydney or Melbourne. What you will be doing Responsible for the delivery of Baringa’s leading quarterly Power Market projections and analytics for Australia, as well as new products due for launch into our global product suite Shape and drive the product roadmap by building a deep understanding of client needs, translating market insights into prioritised development initiatives, and collaborating closely with Commercial and Energy Advisory leadership to ensure alignment with client demand and growth strategy. Collaborate with the global Products Team to embed and evolve best practice across modelling and technology deployment, ensuring consistency, scalability and continuous improvement in our product offering. Lead and develop a team of modellers and market experts Drive the development of our data architecture Lead the development of new power market models in our existing toolkit – PLEXOS Build relationships with our consulting team, to provide support with new and existing models Your Skills And Experience Proven track record of managing modelling/analytics teams in the energy sector Proven experience of developing power market models and projections, using tools such as Python, Aimms, R, VBA, SQL, PLEXOS Strong understanding of power market fundamentals, market design and the key drivers shaping electricity market outcomes in Australia Interest or experience in shaping a Product Team strategy and associated prioritised Product Roadmap Ability to communicate complex concepts and modelling results succinctly to both technical and non‑technical colleagues, and present these results to clients Experience of deploying LLMs and agentic AI in an analytical and/or development environment Experience of or interest in working in an agile environment Experience of managing senior stakeholders Benefits Generous Annual Leave Policy: 5 weeks of annual leave, fully available at the start of each year.
