Role: GCP Engineer / SME Location: Sydney Contract Duration: 6 months with high possible extensions Experience: 10+ Years Role Summary We are seeking a seasoned Google Cloud Specialist with expertise in engineering and migrations to function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in leading complex, large-scale project migrations between Google Cloud tenants (Organization-to-Organization). This role demands deep technical proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically across networking, IAM, project architecture, and established migration methodologies. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and hands‑on execution to design and implement secure, compliant, and highly scalable cloud environments. Core Responsibilities Strategy & Planning: Assess current cloud infrastructures and formulate robust, risk‑mitigated migration strategies. Lead Project Migrations: Execute full life‑cycle project migrations across different GCP organizations, ensuring end‑to‑end success. Execution Focus: Plan and perform the migration of critical GCP components. GCP Projects, Resource Hierarchy, and Organization policies. IAM roles (predefined and custom), Service Accounts, and policy bindings. Networking infrastructure (VPC, Shared VPC, subnets, firewall rules, peering). Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in Cloud Engineering and Migration. Strong hands‑on experience with: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, Azure DevOps CI/CD. Experience working with Azure and GCP PaaS services. Demonstrated strong experience in driving automation and process improvement initiatives. Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, monitoring, and logging. Excellent customer‑facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate business and operational challenges into technical solutions. Experience in multi‑cloud or hybrid environments. Contact for more details.
