Chef (Cafe)
Job Responsibilities:
• Planning menu in consultation with management for the occasions and ongoing.
• Managing team of cooks and kitchen staff for smooth operations.
• Manage food preparation and cooking processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure all food items are prepared according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain inventory levels, order ingredients, and manage stock to minimize waste.
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
• Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
• Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to bring new ideas to the table.
• Provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a chef role, preferably in a sandwich bar, café, or restaurant.
• Passion for food and creating unique, dishes and starters.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Creativity and a willingness to experiment with new ingredients and flavors.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Salary: $77,000 to $85,000 (Plus Superannuation).
Position-Full time -38hours/week
Experience: 1-2 years
Qualification: Diploma in hospitality or equivalent.
Visa Status: Full working rights.
