Position Details Salary: $88,000 - $95,000 + 15.4% ABC Nominated Super Contract type: Permanent, Full Time. Roster: 2‑week. Location: Ultimo, Sydney / Hybrid. About the Division The Product & Technology (P&T) division is responsible for delivering the technology and services that enable the ABC to fulfil its creative, strategic and business goals. The scope of activities and responsibilities range from keeping ABC programs and services on‑air and online, to delivering on key projects, and assisting in setting the technology strategy and architecture. About the Role As a Technologist, you will play a hands‑on role supporting the systems and technology that underpin the ABC’s broadcast and production operations. You’ll help monitor, maintain and troubleshoot critical systems that support content delivery across the organisation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Do Monitor and support broadcast and production systems Respond to incidents, technical issues and service requests Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex technical problems Support preventative maintenance, upgrades and installations Work closely with local teams, stakeholders and external providers Assist with technology integration and operational projects Maintain technical documentation and system information Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications and Experience Qualifications or equivalent experience in technology, broadcast or related fields Experience supporting broadcast, production or IP‑based technologies Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience supporting maintenance, upgrades and operational technology environments Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge An interest in emerging technologies and continuous improvement A commitment to the ABC Values and inclusive ways of working Special Requirements Willingness and ability to work on a 24/7 roster Willingness and ability to travel across Australia A current and valid Driver’s License EEO Statement Applications are strongly encouraged from Indigenous Australians, people from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people with disability and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
