General Practitioner – Full-Time - Highfields, Queensland Position Highlights: Competitive salary on offer Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time Practice Information: Mixed billing practice established in 1995. There are 5 General Practitioners on site, plus a Skin Specialist 2 days per week and a psychologist once a fortnight. The practice has adequate on‑site parking, accessibility for persons with disabilities, toilets and child-friendly facilities. Position Description: Comprehensive medical care, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of multiple general medical presentations Providing skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to patients Ordering diagnostic tests as needed, checking and informing patients of results as per practice policies and procedures Referring patients appropriately to other providers if their needs exceed the range of care you are able to provide Consulting and collaborating with colleagues to provide optimal care Documenting all care provided and education/information given to patients within their health record, as per clinic procedure Having a working knowledge of legislation and standards of General Practice Providing services courteously and respectfully, with regard to the cultural beliefs and needs of patients Working constructively and harmoniously with all staff to ensure patients receive optimal care Collaborating in regard to rosters and providing cover to ensure patients’ needs are met Position Requirements: General registration with AHPRA Specialist After Hours Requirements: No Scholarship / Support: Following successful placement, eligible candidates may be entitled to receive support and financial assistance through Health Workforce Queensland's comprehensive workforce attraction and retention incentives.
