About the role This role will lead the strategic review and transformation of Council’s aged care services in response to significant government reforms. You will provide high‑level, evidence‑based advice to senior leaders, helping shape decisions about the future sustainability and role of Council’s service delivery. A key focus will be developing and delivering a transition plan aligned with Support at Home. Working closely with leadership and stakeholders, you will drive organisational change, embed new service models, and maintain continuity of care throughout the transition. You will also monitor sector developments and policy changes to proactively inform strategy, while delivering strong engagement and communication across staff, clients, community, and government partners. If you are a strategic thinker with strong change leadership experience and a commitment to excellence in community services, we would love to hear from you. Skills and experience required to perform the role Proven experience in strategic planning, service redesign, or transformation within aged care, community services, or a related sector Strong knowledge of aged care reforms, funding models, and regulatory frameworks (ideally including Support at Home) Demonstrated ability to provide high‑level strategic advice to senior executives and influence decision‑making. Exceptional change management skills, with experience leading complex organisational transitions. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse audiences. Experience developing sustainable, client‑centred service models and driving continuous improvement. Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret policy and translate it into practical outcomes. Post‑graduate qualifications in human services, change management, or related discipline, or lesser formal qualification with extensive and diverse experience, or intensive specialised experience.
