About The Role We are seeking a Technical Building Products Engineer to join our collaborative team of engineering specialists on a 12-month fixed-term contract, commencing as soon as possible. Reporting to the Building Systems Engineering Manager, this role plays a critical part in ensuring CSR's building systems and products remain compliant, fit for purpose, and ready for market. Key Responsibilities Develop and assess engineered building system solutions incorporating CSR products Conduct testing, analysis, assessments, and R&D programs for new and existing products Prepare and maintain technical documentation including manuals, design guides, certificates, test reports, and compliance documentation Ensure products and systems comply with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards Provide technical engineering support for bespoke project solutions and customer requirements Contribute subject matter expertise to New Product Development (NPD) projects Collaborate with technical, sales, marketing, product development, and field support teams Manage relationships with external testing laboratories, consultants, universities, and industry bodies About You You are a technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex building system challenges and translating technical requirements into practical solutions. You'll be naturally curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple product categories, stakeholders, and projects.
