Collaborative Healthcare is an innovative, independent and locally owned medical practice. About the role Collaborative Healthcare is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team in Joondanna, WA. This is a full-time/part-time position offering an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a general medical and surgical setting. You will play a vital role in supporting our clinical operations, working alongside doctors and healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive excellent care and support. Key responsibilities Providing direct patient care including health assessments, vital signs monitoring, and wound management. Assisting with minor surgical procedures, dressing changes, and other clinical interventions as required. Administering medications and immunisations under appropriate supervision and in accordance with clinical protocols. Preparing patients for medical examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding. Taking detailed patient histories and recording clinical information accurately in patient records. Providing patient education on health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care. Supporting the management of chronic disease programmes and health screening initiatives. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical environment compliant with infection control standards. Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient outcomes. Managing administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, medical records management, and stock control. What we’re looking for Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN). Experience working in a general medical and surgical nursing environment, preferably within a primary care or general practice setting. Strong clinical knowledge and competency in nursing assessment, treatment and care delivery. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands. Commitment to continuing professional development and maintaining current clinical skills. Knowledge of infection control procedures and workplace health and safety standards. Proficiency with electronic health records systems and general office software. A compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on quality outcomes.
