Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the motel, ensuring smooth functioning across front office, housekeeping, and maintenance departments. • Monitor room occupancy, pricing strategies, and revenue performance to maximise profitability. • Develop and implement operational procedures to maintain high standards of guest service and efficiency. • Recruit, train, supervise, and roster staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and performance management. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, as well as industry standards. • Manage budgets, control operational costs, and prepare financial reports and performance summaries. • Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. • Coordinate maintenance and upkeep of the property to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-presented. • Liaise with suppliers and contractors for procurement of goods and services. • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase occupancy and enhance the motel’s reputation. • Maintain accurate records, including bookings, financial transactions, and operational reports. • Build and maintain relationships with guests, local businesses, and stakeholders to support business growth. To be successful in this role, it is essential you have: • Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in hotel, motel, or accommodation management. • Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day operations of a motel/hotel, including front office and housekeeping functions. • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in staff supervision, training, and performance management. • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and monitor financial performance. • Experience in revenue management, including room pricing strategies and occupancy optimisation.
