Location Victoria, Australia Experience Level 8+ years About the Role Join us to work on multi-million‑dollar, career‑defining projects. We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our VIC Contaminated Sites Team to assist with some of Australia’s largest and most complex industrial facilities closures. The role will involve providing technical oversight and strategic and practical solutions to clients with environmental management challenges. Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology 8+ years of consulting experience in contaminated land and groundwater and remediation projects Experience in contaminated land assessments with exposure to a wide range of environmental and engineering situations Experience in inland fill assessments and compliance (desirable but not essential) Demonstrated experience in site supervision, managing site investigations and various sampling methods including soil and groundwater Strong communication, well‑developed report writing, and project management skills A focus on safety and environmental responsibility Knowledge of NEPM as well as health & safety best practice principles Strong knowledge of VIC environmental legislation The candidate must have a great eye for detail, a sense of practicality in regard to legislative and technical interpretation, and the ability to find pragmatic solutions Responsibilities Undertaking preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments, preparing PSI and DSI Assessment Reports, site management plans and remediation action plans Initiation, planning, leading and executing complex contaminated land/waste projects, including soil, vapour, surface water, wastewater and groundwater assessments Providing mentoring and technical oversight to the contaminated land and groundwater team Engaging with clients and other disciplinary teams to determine innovative solutions to complex environmental problems What’s in It for You?
