What you’ll do Solutions Analysis: Assist sales teams in identifying and evaluating complex technical solutions to meet customer requirements. Analyse customer needs daily and provide tailored technical solutions addressing specific challenges. Value Proposition Development: Contribute to enhancing product differentiation and value propositions. Support sales teams in effectively communicating unique product benefits to customers, ensuring alignment with customer expectations. Customer Needs Clarification: Lead customer interactions by setting clear objectives and developing tailored presentations. Conduct thorough research to understand customer needs and facilitate discussions to clarify requirements and overcome objections. Service‑Related Upselling and Cross‑selling: Identify and develop strategies to grow customer accounts with additional products and services. Monitor accounts for potential growth opportunities and expansion. Sell Customer Propositions: Prepare detailed proposals and presentations addressing customer needs. Assist in negotiating trial terms to secure favourable agreements. Product Demos: Conduct product demonstrations and arrange trials within existing accounts, targeting competitor installations and defending incumbent Weir installations. Gather customer feedback during trials to refine offerings and support marketing with case studies. Information and Business Advice: Provide specialist technical advice and resolve complex queries. Serve as a trusted advisor offering insights and recommendations, escalating issues as needed. Engineering Solutions Design: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and validate innovative solutions aligned with industry standards and customer needs. Sales Opportunities Creation: Develop a personal network to identify sales opportunities, promote Weir, and capture leads in Salesforce. Attend industry events and leverage networks to generate new business. Personal Capability Building: Engage in continuous learning and development activities to maintain industry knowledge and improve performance. Seek feedback and actively work on growth areas. Travel Requirements: This is a customer‑facing role requiring high‑frequency travel and extensive field interaction across the East Region. What you’ll bring Must‑haves: Strong expertise in Warman pumps and slurry pumping product applications. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in mining or similar industries with exposure to pump systems. Strong mechanical engineering background with solid understanding of pump systems. Excellent communication skills to convey technical information and value propositions effectively. Nice‑to‑haves: Experience working with leading organisations in slurry pump or minerals processing solutions. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support complex deal structures. Demonstrated ability to build and manage key customer relationships. Experience in commercial, sales, or regional leadership roles within the industry.
