Overview Newly created senior leadership role to lead busy permits and events programs that bring our community to life. It is a full‑time, ongoing leadership position with a salary range of $114,259 – $127,587 per annum plus superannuation and a monthly RDO. Responsibilities Guide the delivery of local law permits, statutory registrations and event services for the community. Lead two multidisciplinary teams – permitting and events officers – coaching, developing and providing technical advice through their team leads. Oversee regulatory permits (footpath trading, filming, busking) and state‑mandated pet and food business registrations. Lead the Open Space, Events & Bookings Team to deliver Tier 1 & 2 events such as street parties, park weddings, school‑run and commercial events. Work strategically across the organisation, building inter‑departmental relationships, agreed ways of working and engaging with external stakeholders. During peak seasonal periods (spring/summer). roll up sleeves, support teams, conduct site visits for large filming productions and events. Develop a supportive team culture, fostering a safe, respectful and high‑performing workplace. Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes and customer experience through digital tools. Employment Requirements Tertiary qualification in Business, Event Management or equivalent experience. Strong leadership skills in a multidisciplinary team environment, including mentoring, training, performance management and workforce planning. Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary service team in a complex operating environment. Right to work in Australia. Works with background checks: National Police Record Check and Working with Children Clearance.
