About North East Link The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project – Victoria’s biggest road project. The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor – which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania – will deliver the twin three‑lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three‑lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north‑east while maintaining local roads. About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced FRP Supervisor to join our project team. This role is responsible for coordinating and supervising on‑site teams to deliver FRP works in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of works within the required timeframe and budget. Key Responsibilities Maintain a healthy and safe work environment through Sparks procedures, standards, and legal regulations. Actively participate in risk management, understanding hazards that could cause harm, promoting risk awareness and challenging and improving work practices. Coordinate, order materials and equipment, and organize the application of necessary permits. Coordinate on‑site teams and subcontractors to deliver in accordance with program and specifications. Liaise with Engineers, Superintendents, and the Project Manager to resolve issues and maintain progress. Resolve problems, contribute to strategic plans, and identify project improvements. Manage and coordinate subcontractor partners. Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and controls, including regular site checks, adherence to WEMPs, and maintenance of controls. Conduct pre‑start meetings and targeted toolbox training as required. Identify and mitigate risks before work commences, engaging stakeholders to control risks. Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through proactive and professional communication. Qualifications 5–10 years of previous construction experience in a similar role. Substantial industry experience in trade and construction. Technical competency and understanding in the area that supervising. Minimum Requirements Proven experience in a Supervisor role on major civil infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in FRP works. Sound understanding of construction safety, quality, and environmental management systems. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead teams to deliver works to program. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work in a high‑pressure environment and meet project deadlines. Strong subcontractor management skills. Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including night shifts, to support critical project delivery timelines.
