About Your New Role Through growth they have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager - Energy Markets, to drive battery capacity contracting and trading across a large-scale energy storage portfolio. You’ll shape innovative investment and commercial models that unlock and scale battery deployment, while also supporting funding strategies and new revenue opportunities in the energy storage market. You Will Operate a portfolio of battery assets via external optimisation partners, managing performance against contracted and trading benchmarks Develop and execute bidding strategies for participation in NEM wholesale energy and ancillary services markets Evaluate and contract for alternative risk instruments including caps, virtual tolling, and other structured products Develop and manage market supply, demand, and pricing analysis in respect of Australian energy markets with particular focus on commercialisation opportunities for energy storage Develop and maintain energy market view to support portfolio decisions and business planning About You! Experience in energy market trading, forecasting and analysis Solid understanding of key dynamics & drivers in energy markets Advanced modelling & data analysis skills to support evaluation of complex projects & opportunities Demonstrated experience in commercial modelling of complex business opportunities Proven ability to apply market research, trends, and insights to influence new business strategies and decisions This is a high-impact role at the intersection of trading, storage, and commercial innovation, helping define how large-scale batteries are brought to market and scaled. #J-18808-Ljbffr
