Assistant Technical ManagerNorfolkFull-TimePermanent This is a hands-on Assistant Technical Manager role within an accredited food manufacturing site. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will support the delivery and continuous improvement of food safety, quality and legality systems across the factory. The role suits someone with strong HACCP and BRCGS experience who is comfortable working closely with production teams in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities Support and deputise for the Technical Manager when required Maintain and improve Food Safety, Quality and Legality Management Systems Ensure compliance with BRCGS, Red Tractor, FSA / DEFRA and customer standards Manage HACCP, CCP monitoring, GMP and traceability processes Support internal audits and assist with customer and external audits Liaise with the FSA on site as required Manage non-conformances, complaints and CAPA processes through to closure What we’re looking for Experience in a Technical or Assistant Technical role within FMCG or food manufacturing Strong working knowledge of HACCP and BRCGS standards Experience working with retailer codes of practice Confident using Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail and able to manage competing priorities Full UK driving licence and own transport due to rural location Salary & benefits Competitive salary, reviewed regularly28 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with serviceCompany pension schemeDiscounted gym membershipEmployee product discountsFree onsite parking Location & hours NorfolkMonday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (42.5 hours per week)Site-based role If you are looking for a factory-facing technical role with clear responsibility and progression potential, we would welcome a conversation.
