The Role Reporting to the Operations Director, the Continuous Improvement Lead is a high-impact, site-based role responsible for embedding structured CI across manufacturing and support functions. You will own the improvement roadmap, lead root cause analysis on key operational issues, and build the internal capability needed to sustain a culture of excellence. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and execute a site-wide CI roadmap aligned to business goals and operational priorities Champion Lean, Six Sigma and other CI methodologies across the full manufacturing operation Lead structured root cause analysis investigations into quality, safety and operational issues Apply problem-solving tools including 5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis and FMEA Identify process inefficiencies and drive measurable improvements across cost, quality, delivery and productivity Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops and improvement projects with cross-functional teams Establish and monitor KPIs to track improvement outcomes and ensure sustained corrective actions Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain to influence adoption of CI principles Train and coach employees in RCA, critical thinking and CI tools to build lasting internal capability Your Background You are a hands-on CI practitioner with a track record of driving meaningful, measurable change in complex manufacturing environments. You combine strong analytical capability with the communication skills to bring people on the journey and embed lasting improvement. You will also have the following skills & experience: 5+ years' experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or a similar role Proven background in FMCG, food, pharma or other highly regulated manufacturing environments Demonstrated expertise in leading RCA investigations and delivering sustained operational outcomes Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles including waste reduction and value stream mapping Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly regarded Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation Understanding of quality systems, CAPA processes and GMP requirements (desirable) Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Operations or a related field preferred What's On Offer This is a genuine opportunity to shape and lead CI strategy in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with strong visibility to senior leadership and the scope to make a real difference.
