About the role Reporting to the CEO, you will drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of WHS, risk, compliance and quality systems across the organisation. You will own and drive the organisation’s risk and assurance framework, ensuring strong governance, audit readiness, and legislative compliance across all operations. This role goes beyond compliance; it is about embedding systems, influencing leaders, and translating regulatory requirements into practical, high-quality service delivery. You will play a critical role in ensuring Best Lives operates safely, meets all regulatory obligations, and maintains a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement. We are seeking an experienced Quality, Risk & Safeguarding Business Partner to lead and strengthen our systems, ensuring we remain compliant, audit-ready, and continuously improving. What You’ll Bring Key responsibilities Lead WHS and risk management practices across the organisation Ensure compliance with NDIS, WHS and regulatory requirements Drive quality improvement initiatives and audit readiness Oversee incident, complaints and assurance reporting Champion safeguarding practices and reporting obligations Deliver systems training and build staff capability Provide organisational leadership and influence best practice Skills & Knowledge Experience in the Disability or not-for-profit sector (preferred). Minimum Cert IV in WHS or Quality Auditing Strong knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards, WHS legislation and incident management Proven experience in policy development, audits and continuous improvement Strong written and analytical skills (reporting, policies, executive summaries) Demonstrated ability to influence, lead and build capability across teams Knowledge of ISO standards or similar frameworks Experience 5+ years’ experience in WHS, compliance, quality or safeguarding roles Experience in disability, community services or other regulated sectors Experience leading organisational change or system transformation Experience managing incidents, investigations and corrective actions.
