Our Australian team consists of approximately 50 highly skilled engineers, and it is expanding rapidly due to the growth of large-scale PV projects. As we engage in new projects involving substations and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), our central engineering team abroad will support us to ensure seamless integration and successful implementation. In this role, you will report to the Business Development Manage r in Australia. Additionally, you will maintain frequent communication with Project Managers, ensuring cohesive collaboration and successful project outcomes. Position Overview You will actively participate in the business development of an ongoing project development opportunity for which Equans Solar and Storage is currently involved. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Origination Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the solar and storage market. Conduct market analysis to understand regulatory frameworks, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends. Develop and implement business development strategies that support company objectives. Lead negotiations of commercial agreements and work with legal teams. Assess technical, commercial, regulatory, and financial feasibility of new opportunities. Work closely with engineering, legal, finance, and project teams to assess risks and optimise business cases. Client & Stakeholder Management Manage long‑term relationships with corporate clients, government bodies, and strategic partners. Ensure alignment between internal project teams and external stakeholders throughout development phases (Engineer, Finance, procurement, health and safety.) Qualifications Knowledge of storage, hybrid systems, or emerging technologies. Familiarity with PPA negotiations and financial modelling concepts.
