About This Role Located in the CFA South East Region (Dandenong, Warragul, Morwell, Sale or Bairnsdale). Full‑time, fixed‑term (up to 12 months leave coverage). PTA 5 salary range $107,864 – $121,276 per annum (plus 12% superannuation). About The Role The South East Region Learning & Development Team schedules, coordinates and delivers operational learning and training priorities across the Region and contributes to state‑wide learning initiatives. The Learning and Development Coordinator ensures RTO compliance and plans and coordinates training that enhances volunteer capabilities, supporting their roles in delivering CFA services. The Lead Learning & Development (LLD) collaborates with the Manager Learning & Development to shape the regional learning strategy, ensuring CFA members are skilled to manage emergencies per Victoria's Emergency Management Arrangements. The South East Region LLD is responsible for managing and leading a team of ten Coordinators and Administrators to implement the regional training delivery plan, ensuring compliance with Australian Skills Quality Authority and Victorian Registration and Quality Authority standards to maintain RTO certification. The role supports the CFA's Regional L&D strategy and state‑wide L&D strategy, overseeing training plans, systems, and team alignment with key initiatives. It provides expert advice, identifies improvement opportunities, and supports contemporary learning models. Key duties include building partnerships, standardising service delivery, preparing reports, and driving continuous improvement and transformation. Operational response duties are performed as needed. About You Tertiary qualifications in training, education and/or leadership are highly desirable. Proven leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to obtain effective cooperation and contribution from stakeholders and develop and maintain effective relationships. Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams to achieve high performance. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, knowledge management, research and evidence‑based program design, combined with the ability to effectively manage financial resources. Experience developing and implementing evidence‑based programs within a large volunteer organisation. Knowledge of contemporary learning strategy, models and frameworks; a demonstrated capacity to contribute subject matter expertise on a wide range of learning and development themes and issues. Understanding of the complexities associated with the delivery of learning and development programmes and projects to a large geographically dispersed workforce. Extensive knowledge of diversity and associated models of practice. High‑level written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to negotiate and deliver agreed outcomes. Must have a valid driver's licence as travel within the region is required; some travel to other regions will be required (CFA will provide a vehicle on these occasions).
