Role Summary We’re BDO, a global professional services firm, looking for a Manager to join our Melbourne Indirect Tax team. Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality indirect tax advice and solutions across a diverse portfolio of client engagements. Develop and articulate technical positions on complex, emerging and commercially significant indirect tax issues. Prepare clear, client‑ready advice, reports and other technical deliverables to a high professional standard. Contribute to business development by using client experience to identify areas to help a wider range of existing and external clients. Review work prepared by junior team members and contribute to their coaching, development and technical capability. Build trusted client relationships through responsive, high‑quality service and confident participation in meetings and discussions. Contribute to a positive, high‑performing team culture with a focus on collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in indirect tax or a similar advisory/technical consulting environment within professional services, law, government or industry. Strong technical capability with the ability to interpret and apply legislation and guidance in a practical, commercial context. Proven experience managing client relationships and leading the delivery of complex advisory work. Experience supervising, reviewing and developing junior team members. A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, or a combined Law/Business or Commerce degree. Progress toward or completion of relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CA, CTA or equivalent) highly regarded.
